We’re back! This is Team Tinik’s third year participating in a Night in the Car and once again we are excited to help raise awareness and funds in support of Bridge of Hope’s mission to end family homelessness. A Night in a Car is a humbling reminder of what some of our families have had to do – spend a night in their car. We thank you for your support and invite you to consider forming a team of your own. Together, we can make a difference in our community! |

Sleepless(?) Sally
Fundraising Goal: $1,500Click here to donate to Sleepless(?) Sally
Once upon a time, there was a mom and her two young sons who received an eviction notice two weeks before Christmas. Apparently (according to the sewage enforcement officer) the landlord was anxious to make his annual trip to Florida for the winter and didn’t want to waste time and money fixing the sewage problem in his rental property. So, in the middle of an early January blizzard, we moved to a new place (with conditions that were only slightly better). The Christmas tree was the last thing to leave the house – and much too early for this Christmas gal! When I think back on that time, 28 years ago, I can still recall the feelings of desperation, loneliness, and hopelessness. Were it not for a little help from some very close friends and family, I don’t know how we would have made it through. Clearly, God had put it on their hearts to walk with us. And that is why, for the past 10+ years, I have been thrilled to help others going through a similar situation. And you can, too – your donation to Night in a Car (my car, please! 😉 ) will provide housing assistance, case management, and relationships that will give hope to a family facing homelessness. I still believe that my own life and the lives of my children and grandchildren would be different today if Bridge of Hope had been around back then. Thank you for considering changing lives for generations! |

Ciara Halloran
Fundraising Goal: $1,000Click here to donate to Ciara’s car Hello! I’m Ciara Halloran, a dedicated realtor and a strong advocate for fair housing and the underserved. I believe that housing is a fundamental human right and that everyone deserves a safe place to call home. As a board member of the Bridge of Hope Centre County, I am actively involved in supporting the community through initiatives that address homelessness and poverty. On Friday, March 22, I will be taking part in the Night In A Car fundraiser organized by Bridge of Hope Centre County. This unique event serves as a powerful reminder of the reality faced by many in our community – living in their cars due to home insecurity. Participants will ‘live’ out of their cars overnight, experiencing a fraction of the challenges that homeless individuals endure daily. The fundraiser aims to raise awareness and crucial funds to support Centre County families in breaking the cycle of homelessness and poverty. Your contribution to this cause will make a direct impact on the lives of our neighbors in need. By supporting the Night In A Car event, you are helping us provide hope and a fresh start to those who are striving to overcome homelessness and rebuild their lives. Together, we can make a difference and ensure that everyone in our community has a place to call home. Join me in supporting this important cause by making a donation today. Together, we can change lives and build a brighter future for Centre County families. Thank you for your compassion and generosity. |
