| We’re back! This year marks Team Tinik’s fourth year participating in A Night in the Car, and we are more excited than ever to raise awareness and funds in support of Bridge of Hope’s mission to end family homelessness. We’re incredibly grateful for your support – it has made a meaningful difference in the lives of women and children in Centre County, PA. And we invite you to consider joining us and forming a team of your own – because together we can make an even greater impact. Let’s put the pedal to the metal and end family homelessness. |

| Once upon a time, there was a mom and her two young sons who received an eviction notice two weeks before Christmas. Apparently (according to the sewage enforcement officer) the landlord was anxious to make his annual trip to Florida for the winter and didn’t want to waste time and money fixing the sewage problem in his rental property. So, in the middle of an early January blizzard, we moved to a new place (with conditions that were only slightly better). The Christmas tree was the last thing to leave the house – and much too early for this Christmas gal! When I think back on that time, 29 years ago, I can still recall the feelings of desperation, loneliness, and hopelessness. Were it not for a little help from some very close friends and family, I don’t know how we would have made it through. Clearly, God had put it on their hearts to walk with us. And that is why, for the past 10+ years, I have been thrilled to help others going through a similar situation. And you can, too – your donation to Night in a Car (my car, please! 😉 ) will provide housing assistance, case management, and relationships that will give hope to a family facing homelessness. I still believe that my own life and the lives of my children and grandchildren would be different today if Bridge of Hope had been around back then. Thank you for considering changing lives for generations! |

| Today more of us are closer to being homeless than are to having a million dollars. Housing costs have increased far faster than incomes and even when housing seems affordable many obstacles are in place that make obtaining financing, very difficult, for first time buyers or renters for that matter. I can’t consciously sit back and say it’s somebody else’s problem, when I’m wrestling with problems like which car should I bring to sleep in ? I’m fully aware that I am fortunate I am to have that problem and If I can raise awareness and help do for one homeless family what I wish I could do them all, that would be a huge win. So if you can come out and raise awareness, if not you can’t please donate. if you can’t attend / donate please consider adding Bridge Of Hope Centre County to your prayers! “But Jesus replied, “Foxes have dens to live in, and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place even to lay his head.”” Luke 9:58 NLT https://bible.com/bible/116/luk.9.58.NLT |

Wide Awake Watkins
Fundraising Goal: $3,000| Click here to donate to Wide Awake Watkins This will be my 4th year participating in Night in A Car!! This year Chuck will be joining me as we try to bring awareness to homelessness in Centre County. Many people in this area see being homeless as sleeping on the streets, but that isn’t the ONLY way it looks. People are sleeping in their cars, couches, floors etc. I believe that as human beings, we have a responsibility to connect with and give back to our communities. Night In A Car is one way I choose to do that—by stepping into the reality that so many face daily and raising awareness about homelessness. Nobody should HAVE to be homeless. But together, we can be part of the solution. Every donation helps provide support, housing, and hope to families in need. |

Team Jeanne Girls
Fundraising Goal: $1,000| Click here to donate to Team Jeanne Girls I’m Heather and I’m hoping my 8 year old daughter Hallee will be joining me for this fundraiser! (If not, I might have my dog Sammie because she is also a “Jeanne girl”). |

The Joy Squad
Fundraising Goal: $1,000| Click here to donate to The Joy Squad There are many reasons why a mother and her children may experience homelessness: unemployment, illness, family conflict, domestic violence, lack of affordable housing and grief among others. Homelessness itself is a traumatic experience, evoking fear, depression, stress, feeling of inadequacy, uncertainty about the future and a sense of vulnerability. However, a supportive community can restore hope, joy, peace and a sense of protection. My family was fortunate to have a non-judgmental support system during difficult times in our life, so I strive to give back what was given to us. This donation is one small way to do that. |

Malone
Fundraising goal: $100| I’m just one individual, but am hoping to contribute at least $100. I do enjoy occasional car camping, but know there are some people who have to do it all the time, and not by choice. It’s worth it to me to test out my readiness for another year of car camping trips by taking a night to contribute to others’ well-being. |

Ciara Halloran
Fundraising Goal: $1,500| Click here to donate to Ciara’s car Hello! I’m Ciara Halloran, a dedicated Realtor and a strong advocate for fair housing and the underserved. I believe that housing is a fundamental human right and that everyone deserves a safe place to call home. As a board member of the Bridge of Hope Centre County, I am actively involved in supporting the community through initiatives that address homelessness and poverty. Last year, spending a night in my car opened my eyes to the harsh realities of homelessness. It’s a challenging experience that made me deeply grateful for what I have. I raised $1410 last year, and this year I am to raise $1500. Your contribution to this cause will make a direct impact on the lives of our neighbors in need. By supporting the Night In A Car event, you are helping us provide hope and a fresh start to those who are striving to overcome homelessness and rebuild their lives. Together, we can make a difference and ensure that everyone in our community has a place to call home. Join me in supporting this important cause by making a donation today. Together, we can change lives and build a brighter future for Centre County families. Thank you for your compassion and generosity! |
